Field Turf

Immediately after tonight's Rose Bowl, the field will be torn out and new sod planted for next Thursday's BCS title game between Alabama and Texas.

Actually, they are not ripping out the current field. They are putting the new sod right on top of the current field. It is 1 1/2" thick sod, so it isn't going to move. But to save time it is going right on top.
