USC tailback Stafon Johnson will make his return to football at the Senior Bowl, it was announced tonight. Johnson joins offensive tackle Charles Brown, safety Taylor Mays and tight end Anthony McCoy at the all-star game.
``This is a great opportunity for Stafon with all that he's been through and he's excited to play with some of the greatest players in the country,'' USC head coach Pete Carroll said. ``He's grateful to the Senior Bowl for giving him this chance. He's been a great player for us and everybody is ecstatic about him showing his playing ability there at the Senior Bowl.''

As we say in the Navy, fair winds and following seas! Would like to have seen him come back for a medical redshirt even with Bradford et al. Will always be remembered for closing out the Ohio State game (also a stellar game against Nebraska a couple of years ago), and for his character to hang in when so many others (E. Moody comes to mind) chose to leave. Have a great pro career aftger a great Snr Bowl!
