Did anyone see the Jets vs. Bengals game this week? (I'd guess yes since it was an all-USC bowl). On one play, they faked an inside hand-off and then Sanchez reverse pivoted and pitched out wide to Shonn Green., who ran 50 yards for a touchdown. That is the exact play SC should have run in the Championship game with a fake to Lendale and a pitch to Reggie. I'd bet that play works 99 times out of a 100 - yet Lane had Bush on the bench.

After all this open discussion about Chow, USC better get him or it will lose face. This, among other reasons, is why you negotiate behind closed doors. If Chow stays at UCLA, despite what everyone understands will be a higher-dollar offer at SC, then it's a no-confidence vote by Chow with regard to Kiffin. That's not a good thing for a new head coach with a record (and an age) that doesn't exactly inspire confidence. Pete...I miss you already.
