About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

Interesting... It was also interesting I read this in the OC Register YESTERDAY... Keep breaking the stories Scott.
my ideal scenario would be to hire Mike Riley as HC and Norm Chow as offensive coordinator/associate head coach.
we don't skip a beat if that happens. i do think we need to keep john morton and ken norton and the recruits need to know that's the case
Mike Reily/Nick Holt
Norm Chow/ Nick Holt
Jeff Fisher/ Nick Holt
i would be ok with any of those.
Mike Riley/Ed O
Jack Del Rio/Norm Chow
Herm Edwards/Norm Chow/Ed O
I would also really like to see Seto and Norton stay.
How about Jack Del Rio/Norm Chow/Ed O?
MG just might bring back Norm Chow just to rub it in PC.
If PC hires NC at Seattle he becomes the biggest hypocrite of all time and admits he "fricked" USC after the 2004 season.
i come in peace.... just reading some of your comments and would like to know if there was a problem between Garrett and PC? if so, why? thanks.
Good call paulm, if he's good enough to take to Seattle, why wasn't he good enough to bring back to SC.
Am I the the only one who thinks Nick Holt is a numb-nuts?
Hire Chris Petersen, he will be Urban Meyer 2.0
Almost any scenario where Chow is our O.C. is a step up from where we sit at this moment. I would take any of the top 5 names mentioned for head coach, combined with Chow as O.C. over Carroll and one of his yes-man flunkies at O.C. I appreciate that without Pete the program would never have gotten back to prominence, but Chow is more valuable as an O.C. than Carroll is as a head coach right now for USC. USC should still be able to keep the conduit of elite recruits as long as the new head coach is one of the main guys being mentioned, and when Chow has offensive athletes that are as good or better than the players on the opposing defenses, he is probably the best O.C. in NCAA history. USC has 0 National Championships in the last 30+ years without Chow and that will most likely continue unless they can lure Peterson or Leach or another cutting-edge offensive mind to be the head coach. At this point though, I would love to get Chow plus a good head coach. I would actually give us a better chance at a National Championship with Riley/Chow than Carroll/Bates, mainly because I KNOW there is ZERO chance that we could win one with Carroll and his "Peter Principle" coaching staff.
I am no Holt fan either. Not sure why he is getting so much love here.
Other than Chow, the #1 guy we 'need' back is Orgeron because the guy is a recruiting machine. If we get an NFL-type guy like Fisher or Del Rio who may not have the "in" with recruting, then getting Orgeron back would be huge.

That post was so good that I had to post it twice. You are welcome for duplicate-wisdom.
Petersen should be first choice.
"Holt"? Worthless
I would rather SC hires Norm Chow than Mike Riley. Norm Chow knows how to win. Mike Riley knows how to laugh and pat butts during a big game or bowl game and his team is getting beaten. I don't like that. Do you Scott Wolf?
