No Ruel
Even though Tim Davis is not expected to be hired as offensive line coach, Pat Ruel is not going to return as offensive line coach.
UPDATED: Until a new offensive line coach is hired, we should stress that it is possible that Ruel might be retained.

We will just have to see what kind of premium LK puts on hiring a O-line coach. I'll say this, whoever he hires, that coach will be scrutinized on how well his players opened holes for the running backs. If Ruel's results weren't good enough, and I wasn't particularly impressed with his line's performances in general, then that could be a good sign LK wants a pretty good coach there. I'm not giving up on Tim Davis still coming...
So in summary, Ruel won't be coach, unless he is? Great reporting.

Scott what gives you the idea Ruel is going? If PC didn't take him and Davis won't come to SC...why would LK break the continuity with Ruel and the line?

Del Rio's contract (never sent), USC hires Chow (they barely talked), Leach as UCLA OC (huh?), Ruel is not returning ("updated"-we'll see). Not your best week, Scott. In your defense, it was an absolutely crazy week for those on the USC beat.
Looks like Scottie got his hand slapped. Don't rumor monger about the assistants, Scottie! I'm very interested to see who Victory Lane brings in if getting rid of legacy coaches like Seto, Ruehl, and McNair. And, I thought Victory Lane brought in Morton? A referral from the Raiders? Can't wait to watch this unfold. Victory Lane = PC2, BCS Era II!
