On Davis
We hear the idea that former USC offensive line coach Tim Davis return was suggested by athletic director Mike Garrett and not Lane Kiffin. With former Tenneseee assistant James Cregg coaching the offensive line, Davis will now remain at Minnesota.

I think MG needs to shut his mouth and let the coach pick his assistants.
OK, I can see a difference here in Kiffin's response to Davis versus Chow (suggested by MG). Unlike Chow, Davis is still coaching his players and the Vikings are one game away from the Super Bowl. I believe Lane was unwilling to wait to talk to Davis for fear some of his commits were getting shaky and had to make decisions. And because the vikings are, Davis might not have been available. My problem is, I just don't know if Cregg is in the same league in good coaching that Davis or even Ruel are. Could Kiffin have found a better position coach, especially as crucial as O-line?
"Minnesota" as in the Sept. 18 opponent, not the Vikings.
Please keep MG away from the switch. He made the only move he needed to by hiring Kiffin. Please tell me why all of these stories get reported when there is no actual truth to them. Just report actual facts that have actual sources.
