On Riley
In 2008, I went up to Mike Riley before the USC-Oregon State game (which the Beavers won) and told him that he might be coaching at USC in a couple years.
``You never know,'' Riley said.
It could have happened but I hear Riley did not want the extra pressure.
If by pressure you mean "cloud of NCAA sanctions" coupled with fan base that has heightened/unrealistic expectations regardless of what the next few years brings? Then yeah...I could agree with that.
Maybe Garrett is the added pressure? I've heard the grumblings about this idiot for the past 15 years. Maybe things will change once Mike "Ghetto" Garrett leaves.
The Donkey doesn't want Riley anywhere near USC's head coaching position.
