I heard that Pete Carroll was gonna implement the wildcat for 2010 season and use Dillon Baxter. Do you think Lane Kiffin will use the wildcat and have Dillon running it?

Did you notice in his introductory press conference, Lane Kiffen thanked Max Nikias? Considering how the provost has nothing whatsoever to do with the athletic department and no previous coach has ever even mentioned the provost, does this just prove that Steve Sample has already checked out and Nikias is the one really running the show these days?

Did Pete Carroll have to pay USC a buyout fee from his contract?

Was Averill Spicer the biggest bust of the senior class and does he have a shot at redemption in the NFL?

It seems like the past couple of years, PC and his kid Spaulding were recruiting off lists and not really digging for talent and they seemed to be very picky about handing out scholies and it cost them dearly at LB this year and last. Do you see this philosophy changing under Kiffin / Orgeron?

Do you think it was a huge mistake not to name Sanchez the starter in 2007? I like to refer to Booty's time as "The Lost Years." Dennis Thurman's (USC all-america and now Jets defensive coach) recent comments on Petros' show about how he visited an SC practice circa 2007 and reported that Sanchez was strikingly better than Booty reminded me of this question.

With the truly one-of-a-kind Ed Orgeron back at USC, will there be a return of shirts being ripped off and football players jumping up and down naked?

Where is Todd McNair going to coach? So far, no RB coach has been named. He is often pointed to as the person from USC that perhaps knew or should have known about Reggie Bush's receipt of money and his folks' living arrangement. Does USC see any need to keep him "happy" until the NCAA reveals its findings? Any info on McNair's status is greatly appreciated.

What is the academic status of Tyron Smith and any others with academic "issues?"

You've mentioned that linebacker is critical for recruiting this year. I agree, especially after missing out on Te'o and Burfict and Telfort's health. It seems like this year's linebackers aren't as good as last year. Does it look like SC will get any top linebackers and do you think any of them are top quality like last year?

wolf, i have noticed the Southern Cal faithful around here (of which i do not count myself one) getting more and more snippy lately...any little quip, no matter how charming and witty, is deemed "full of venom" and UCLA "trolls" are being cyber-bullied unmercifully.

do you think the reason for all this increased aggression is the fact that the NCAA hearing is coming up soon and Southern Cal fans are overly worried about major sanctions (i don’t think they will be very harsh). and if so, do you think the Southern Cal fans will return to a more affable state of mind after the hearing or has irreversible damage been done the their collective psyche?

Last year Manti Te'o visited on the last weekend and supposedly told USC coaches he commited to USC later to to change his mind. Do you see USC getting any commits from this weekend from any recruits that are visiting USC?

Taylor Mays, Charles Brown, Stafon Johnson, Anthony McCoy, and Jeff Byers are the only seniors invited to play in the Senior Bowl. I remember last year there were more players invited to all star games. Why haven't the seniors as Will Harris, Kevin Thomas,Alex Parsons,and Averell Spicer been invited to any all star games?

How much do you think the probable coming NCAA sanctions hurt recruiting this year, and the same question for those lousy LA Times articles? Do the recruits pay much attention to that kind of stuff? And, along the same lines, do you think the coaching change hurt recruiting too? Thanx.

With the NCAA apparently not going to wait for the outcome of the Bush lawsuit to make their decision, and with the NCAA refusing our offer to self penalize the football program, would you consider either or both of these things as bad omens for us when it comes to trying to guess the eventual outcome of the NCAA decision? Thank you very much. Let me please add that I hope we bring back the chats in some form if you have the time. Many of us really miss them. Thank you again.

Why is USC losing commitments, and not getting commitments considering the small incoming class commited and the need at some positions?

Well, it's Monday evening as I write this, and, as of right now, we have 13 commits plus 2 silent ones for a total of 15.
When all is said and done, how many scholarships do you guess we will have given out by the end of Wednesday nite--and, what do you think the chances are that we might get a good recruit or two after signing day?
