Stat Of The Day
BCS executive director Bill Hancock neglected to mention this fact yesterday on revenue distribution.
Notre Dame is guaranteed 1/66th of the net revenues after expenses, or approximately $1.3 million.
Notre Dame, which did not even participate in any bowl this year, gets a guaranteed BCS payout better than any school in any other conference, except for the two AQ conferences with two teams each in the BCS games. But Hancock forgot to mention it.
By the way, Army and Navy receive $100,000 for making their teams available.

This tool's name pretty much sums him up.
I would think just out of pride if the entire sense of business acumen is lost in the PX would make the necessary changes.
We have to push for new media contracts, expansion with a conference game, new bowl tie ins and making a network in partnership (the ACC and Big 12 are looking and the Big 10 which is looking at expanding to 14.)
I want to puke when I hear idiots say stuff like "It's fine like it is, we play real football" or "People won't come watch hyped up conference championships, a system inflated to give more wins leading to big bowl games because we are too sophisticated". The majority of fans would be just like other sheeple and get hyped when the media and the polls and the big bowls get them hyped.
And no, there isn't more going on in PX land than there is in college hoops crazy Big East (who also do pretty well with just a handful of established college football teams), or ACC land which is hoops and football crazy and have pro teams, or the Big 12 South (there are tons of pro teams in Texas) or... Hell, let's just make the changes.
The BCS Cartel is an anti-competitive monopoly!
That's Bolshoi! they get $$ from BullCS and don't even play in a bowl game.
