Chris Petersen is the best choice, His staff coaching is what made Boise State great and able to compete against teams far talented then them. It would be great to see what he could do with USC type talent.

I'll believe it when I see it, but that'd be great if Orgeron came back. In addition to identifying and developing talent, he's what USC's been missing the last few years - a butt-kicker who won't let players get too full of themselves.
I've been touting Orgeron for some time. And why not as head coach, Wolfe? He has head coach experience, got jobbed at ole Miss right before they got pretty good BECAUSE of his recruiting. He's a great motivator, recruiter, knows SC, and perhaps most importantly, knows the LA vibe. Several prior SC coaches knew their Xs and Os but not the LA vibe. It's not illusion, it's real. Every school needs a coach that understands not just the game but the institution. Ask Charlie Wies or a parade of Texas coaches before Mack Brown. SC will always recruit enough talent because of where and what it is (Carson Palmer played for three different head coaches and five OCs). And Coach O, if I'm not mistaken, was a Chow pal. Wouldn't that be cool: Mr. Defense, Ed Orgeron and Mr. Offense, Norm Chow (who as we know, if about to run out of his Titans millions and the public school LA can't pay him what he's worth).

I agree with Mike: it would be great to see Coach O and Norm Chow back at SC. I think they'd both be gettable, too - but it makes too much sense for it to happen...

Especially with MG being in love with Mike Riley, that's who he wanted before he settled on Pete.

wow, reality has set in Norm Chow, Ed Orgeron, Kennedy Pola, and Jack Del Rio! What more can we ask for. Now that Pete Carroll is running we can call it for what it is folks. This past season Pete Carroll was exposed. He was just the p/r guy the assistants were the backbone and we he lost all of them he was exposed. He is not leaving for no other reason other than to hide the fact that his assistants ran the program not him. Sure he is a nice guy, but lets be realistic the assistants ran the winning teams not Pete. I started USC when Robinson was finishing his first run and guess what we were on probation. I have seen the worst from Robinsons successor to Smith to Hackett! I love my Trojans and could not ask for more than to have Norm Chow, Kennedy Pola, Ed Orgeron and Jack Del Rio. Asking for Mike Leach would be reaching! Fight On and stick with us recruits, Your a Trojan For Life!
Gee Scott, you're starting to sound like la cappy tan. That's about a month old.
I'd love to see the dude get back here. He can recruit and coach the defensive line better than anyone in football.
We need Coach Orgeron. This guy's style and recruiting ability have been missed.
USF's Jim Leavitt is now available. Wolf's always been a big fan of the Bulls
