USC's played great defense this season, so blowing a 15-point lead against Washington State was even worse than usual. The Trojans held the Cougars to 33 perent shooting in the first half but WSU shot 56 percent in the second.

despite the loss, coach O'Neil has his team playing with the most effort of any of the Pac-10 teams this year and if the vote were today, he gets my vote for Coach of the Year in the Pac-10.
Completely agree with Charlie. My hat goes off to any coach that can get the effort O'Neil has gotten from his team despite the situation they are in this season.
