Scott...how does Ed Orgeron rate as a position coach? Everyone knows by now he can recruit your pants off. But could you maybe add some thoughts about how much credit he probably deserves, if any, for the success of Wild Bunch II?
A lot of very coachable talent in that group, so I'm a little skeptical about how much of an impact EO physically made from beginning to their completion.
A: He is considered a good position coach. Some players were critical that he spent too much time with the starters and not the reserves. And there was also a school of thought that his act might wear off by a third or fourth year. But overall, I think he's a very good position coach.

What's was the deeper sentiment in the UCLA camp on signing day, and immediately afterward?
I would think that when PC made his announcement RN finally thought he had a chance to bury USC, starting with a recruiting class statement. And, with the backdrop of "monopoly over", "unproven regime", etc., in the final hours was the UCLA staff sweating bullets that incredible embarrassment was on its way?
And, now that's its over, is there smoldering resentment of any kind that with their 3rd season approaching that Lane Kiffin could walk in and accomplish what he did in just a few weeks?
A: I would say mixed feelings. Happy they landed a couple nice commitments on signing day that considered USC, but also unhappy that USC managed to have such a strong class in the eyes of the recruiting analysts. One would think USC's recruiting classes would only get better with the coaching staff settled into place and once a full staff is hired.
Of course, everything will revolve around next year's game at the Rose Bowl. I would think UCLA believes it has a pretty good chance to win next year's game.

UCLA's motto: "Just wait until next season"
The UCLA fans have been touting RN's recruiting classes for two years now, but the bRUINS haven't been able to deliver on the field. They say Dorrell couldn't recruit, yet he was able to go 22-15 in his first three seasons. That's right, RN will have to go 11-1 just to match Dorrell's record. Not very inspiring results.
if history's any indication, Lame will lose to Rick next year.
Spedjones, you should spend more time worrying about getting your Bruin Maggots to win more than 50% of its games in a given year than asking inflammatory questions... You can beg, plead, whine, cry, and insist on sanctions against USC, truth of the matter is no matter what happens, you'll still be an inferior state school who discriminates against black people who aren't athletes. So why don't you do us all a favor and go f*** yourself.
Count the Blah,
FLAWLESS!!!!
because Lane had the better team at UT but still lost to RN at home.
He got you SpedJones call it a night.
"If history's any indication" Coach Rick Neuheisel will go 3-9 or 4-8 since he averages a 3.5 win drop-off from season 2 to season 3.
That's right, the best he's ever done at any program is to win 3 fewer games in season 3 than he won in season 2. Now that's something we can build on. ha ha ha ha ha ha
AYKM, the UCLA motto is "Just you wait until basketball season" -- at least that's what I always hear them chanting on the way out of the Coliseum after a large USC victory. They sure kept us waiting at Pauly a few weeks ago. Let's hope they keep us waiting even longer at Galen next week!
