Super Bowl Story

| | Comments (6) |

The last time the Super Bowl was in Miami, the Indianapolis Colts played the Chicago Bears and former USC basketball coach Tim Floyd secretly flew to the game and then returned to Los Angeles on an early Monday flight so he did not miss practice. He never told the team about the excursion.
Floyd went because his daughter is married to Bears linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer and he is close friends with Archie and Payton Manning.

Dear Mr. Secondhand Wolf, Baby Journalist.

So what does that have to do with today's game? Floyd is old news. Can't you think of something relevant about today?

The last time the Super Bowl was in Miami, the Indianapolis Colts played the Chicago Bears and the penny-a-line hack, Smeagol “Gargamel” Wolf, secretly flew to San Francisco to watch Disney on Ice and receive a “deep massage" at The Pump House. He gimped back to his parent’s basement and did not miss the Tony Awards.

He never told his parents about the excursion. Smeagol-Wolf went because he dressed strategically, thinks Disney on Ice is “marvelously fabulous,” and couldn’t care less about football.

BABY BLOGGER, you misspelled the first name of the fellow who quarterbacks the Indianapolis Colts. It's Peyton. Please, please, please remove the USC affiliation from your bio.

Did Floyd pay under the table for his ticket?

Palm - Do you really believe anything Wolf writes? The guy does not even know how to spell Peyton Manning's name. That's a fact that a 6th-grader can Google.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
