There's more to this story than a case where coach and player "did not mix well". Scott might actually have the sources inside USC basketball to get to the bottom of this. It will be interesting to see if he chooses to break it and how he does so...being that he's an "objective" reporter and all.

That being said, looks like it hasn't taken long for the KO's reputation of being difficult (using that word instead of swearing) to come through. No question KO held this team together this year and got them to over perform, but the KO hiring will end up being a mistake. Kind of like with Lance (ha ha) Kiffin.

This happens... remember Bo Kimble and the late Hank Gathers, recruited and played for Stan Morrison but then transferred when George Raveling was hired. KO has a very different style and personality then TF - so its easy to understand a kid recruited by one not fitting well when coached by the other. I would be much more concerned if two years from now, a big time kid recruited by KO decides to transfer.

how do you get rid of a player who doesn't want to go? this could turn into a Robby Benson "One on One" situation.

i also have to wonder if perhaps Leonard "knows something" about the Southern Cal program? he seems like a fine young man to me, why the sudden rush to make him dissapear?

Capitan-I just know that Leonard wants to stay but he's had some recent riffs with Coach O'Neill that's soured their relationship. Coach O'Neill is trying to clean up the team, but he clearly is getting rid of a solid player. Don't think he's bringing any 2010 recruits that will replace Leonard's position, hence, my prior statement.
