USC named Max Nikias as its next president today. He succeeds Steven Sample in August. Faithful readers will know I have used the term, ``abrasive,'' to describe his style. Should be interesting.

Yeah, Garrett has been sooooo successful, how many times did he fail the bar exam ? Did he ever pass the bar? Name ONE coach he hired, and he didn't hire PC until he was recommended by Gross, that has done squat at SC.

At about the same time PC gets fired for not winning in Seattle, Fast Lane will miss the Rose Bowl, again, and make some stupid remarks to the press (a la Larry Smith after the Freedom Bowl).

you obviously know nothing about USC or USC athletic history. MG has done more to improve USC overall sports program than any other AD at USC. Look at the Galen Center - this was every AD's dream from the late 1960s, MG got it done. And MG's proposal to take over outright management of the Coliseum was approved by the Board of Trustees (a major feat) but narrowly rejected by the Coliseum Commission (not MG's fault). And on your last bigoted point - I don't think a white guy would have done a better job than MG.

Nobody cares how many times he took the bar. It's how many NC's he's won for SC Athletics, which is a ton.

Failed the Bar exam numerous times, failed to become a lawyer, failure at USC as AD, MG is a failure except on the football field.
