Pac-9 Tournament

| | Comments (2) |

It starts tomorrow at Staples Center. I will pick a winner in this post later today. But in the meantime, you can take a crack at it. Only two teams (Cal, Arizona State) seem assured of going to the NCAA Tournament with a third (Washington) having an outside chance. So it would really mess up those mock brackets if one of the other six teams wins the tournament.

ASU gets even less respect from the selection committee than we do. They're far from "assured" of going to the dance.

Cal wins the tourney. They're the best team in the conference and showed it down the stretch.

About Inside USC

Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in antagonizing the "Internet geeks."
