Colorado Joins Pac-10
Here's the official Pac-10 announcement.
UNIVERSITY OF COLORADO JOINS PAC-10
WALNUT CREEK, Calif.--The Pacific-10 Conference announced today that the University of Colorado at Boulder has accepted an invitation to join the Conference as it's 11th member, the first new member since July 1, 1978.
"This is an historic moment for the Conference, as the Pac-10 is poised for tremendous growth. The University of Colorado is a great fit for the Conference both academically and athletically and we are incredibly excited to welcome Colorado to the Pac-10," said Commissioner Larry Scott.
"On behalf of The University of Colorado students, faculty, alumni and fans, we are proud to accept this invitation from the Pac-10 and join the most prestigious academic and athletic conference in the nation, " said Philip P. DiStefano, chancellor of CU-Boulder.
"The University of Colorado is a perfect match - academically and athletically - with the Pac-10," said University of Colorado President Bruce D. Benson, "our achievements and aspirations match those of the universities in the conference and we look forward to a productive relationship."

The irony of this announcement on the day the Trojans get their tails slapped rings very strangely.
The height of coincidence, or ?
stay tuned!
oh great, it's like having another doped up relative of oregon to visit every other year.
I like how the announcement comes out the same day that they lose scholarships for lack of academic acheivement.
By the end of the month, we'll be the PAC-64 and just tell the NCAA to go play with themselves.
Utah should be next and I think that will be the end of it
Texas won't come cuz they don't want to get beat by USC in a conf title game
As it stands now, Texas has only 1 tough game all regular season: Oklahoma, and they like it that way
--------------
so assuming Utah joins, there will be a pac10 north and a pac10 south - so there would be a lot of title matches between the Ducks and Trojans (assuming Wa does not return to former glory days)
