Good Old Floyd
The NCAA report displayed what a spinmaster Tim Floyd can be, something I witnessed many times. Floyd told the committee on infractions he was so fed up with the negative influences within college basketball, he went to the NCAA offices to discuss the ills of recruiting with then-president Myles Brand.
But when USC's compliance director advised Floyd to drop the recruitment of O.J. Mayo because of questions surrounding his amateur status and ties to Rodney Guillory and an AAU coach, Floyd ignored the director. He also took down Guillory's personal information and passed it to his staff to recruit Mayo even after Guillory described himself as an, ``events promoter.''
But, was Tim Floyd given a "show clause" penalty? No. Were any of his assistant coaches? No. Should a compliance director merely "suggest" dropping a recruitment, or STOP the FRKN recruitment himself or through the AD's office. It's a rather binary situation right? Either compliance signs off or they don't?
Don't blame Timmy or PC. This was all the AD's office and compliance. And, our poor compliance staff was severely depleted of resources, so I blame AD Garrett 100% for this.

No, this is about USC.
I am beggining to wonder if Garrett is mentally impaired...his comment to boosters today: "As I read the decision by the NCAA, all I could get out of all of this was--and I read between the lines-- and there was nothing but a lot of envy, and they wish they all were Trojans."
And trOJies want to appeal this decision, right? wow.
