USC received a commitment from offensive lineman Marcus Martin from Crenshaw High in Los Angeles. He is a teammate of De'Anthony Thomas, who already committed. At least for now, probation has not hurt recruiting.

I don't think it'll hurt as much with this coming recruiting class as it first appeared. It's one year probation for them. I feel for the incoming freshman.
The facts....Martin is a fine young man with GOOD POTENTIAL, from a very fine High school program. Played Pop warner football w/mamba on a team sponsored by Snoop. Not surprised he indicates he's going to S.C. He's rated 3 STARS.

Kessler(****), Wittek(****), and Thomas(*****) were ALL JUNIORS LAST YEAR, just like Martin (***). Uh.....what was your point again?..according to your way of thinking...Thomas "will probably" be a SIX STAR rated recruit by next season, right?
