More Neuheisel

Here’s more from Rick Neuheisel on the Dan Patrick show regarding the news of USC’s sanctions.
How he reacted when he heard the news about USC:
“It had been so long and had been so many rumors about it, I just kind of took the news in stride. The idea that there was going to be some sort of sanction. It had been well documented around here but I don’t think it changes the game very much for what we have to do and that it what I focus on and the things that we have to do.”

  1. For as much pressure that Lane Kiffin feels to win right now, Neuheisel is under just as much pressure to beat SC this coming year. Losing is not an option, and they don’t really have a very strong team.

If UCLA loses to SC, a team on probation, then Neuheisel will be on his 4th year of a 2 year plan.

  2. What else was the guy going to say?–
“Wow, was I ever jacked. Been waiting for this day for over a year. Now I can raid the SC talent coffers and perhaps make a name for myself. If I was not so well known I would be running naked down Wilshire in celebration.”

  3. wrong. Rick’s do-or-die year is next year. Besides, SC’s sanctions won’t hurt the team this year at all unless they simply fold because of the bowl ban. Nobody’s leaving, everyone’s still coming, so there’s no reason to think SC will be hobbled this year (save for the fact that Lame is the new coach). SC should be about the same as last year, which means it won’t be missing a big bowl game anyway.

  4. Sped, it’s sad that UCLA will need sanctions on SC in order to get on the same level. It’s like Vonnegut’s short story “Harrison Bergeron”.

  5. SC record in the few years before Cheaty:

    1996: 6-6
    1997: 6-5
    1998: 8-4
    1999: 6-6
    2000: 5-7

Why do you expect that without cheating you’ll be anywhere but back where you started?

  6. So no more halftime speeches during USC-UCLA basketball games? He’s looked silly with his USC obsession.

Let’s see if he does what he says. But he may indeed be changing his approach since he’s no longer competing against PC.

  7. UCLA!….UCLA!….FOOTBALL?….UCLA!!! LOL!!! HA,HA,HA,HA,HA,HA…R-I-C-K N-E-U-H-E-I-S-E-L…2 time CONVICTED cheater (UW & CU) at 2 different schools. Thats’s YOUR guy? That’s the guy you are standing with while tossing smack at USC? Stupid UCLA people. Thats like STANFORD smacking about upstanding athletes representing their respective institutions and how deplorable Reggie Busch is (AND HE IS) and THEIR guy is TIGER “BONER” WOODS! UCLA mooks are running smack and YOUR guy is “Slick” RICK NEUHEISEL.
Now that’s funny. No wonder your football team sucks.

  8. If you wanted to write a book on negative recruiting all you would have to do is follow Neuheisel around for the next couple years. Of course if any of the UCLA athletes wanted to know what you wrote, they would have to pay someone to read it to them.

  9. love the effort datrout, particularly since SC’s coach (I hesitate to assume you actually went to SC, so I’m not going to say “your” coach) is Lame Freakin Kiffin. NCAA actually made sanctions worse because of the Kiffin hire, which should tell you something.

BTW, where’s your boy’s phone? Still can’t find it hey? Lane up to his old tricks again…

  10. spedjones: hey, little fella, I hesitate to to actually use the word “guy” or “man” because people who squat to piss, like yourself, can easily be mistook for the transgendered, Lane Kiffen made USC’s sanctions worse?

    FACTS:
R-I-C-K N-E-U-H-E-I-S-E-L, NCAA SANCTIONS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON, R-I-C-K N-E-U-H-E-I-S-E-L, NCAA SANCTIONS AT THE COLORADO UNIVERSITY.

“Slick” Rick is a habitual cheater, a serial cheater, an under acheiving coach & and a pathetic recuritter in the most fertil recruitting grounds in America. Humm. I wonder why no talented football players will go to UCLA? Because they know that it’s going to happen again! Rick Neuheisel will strike again! He has too or else he’s gonna get fired for not winning ANYTHING.

WHAT OTHER 2 TIME CONVICTED CHEATING COACH IN THE HISTORY OF NCAA FOOTBALL HAS EVER BEEN HIRED TO COACH AGAIN? Only a second rate university like UCLA would even hire a TWO TIME convicted cheating coach!
