Probation Update

There's been some probation predictions today in the media. Right now, everyone is making educated. From people I've talked to in Heritage Hall, forfeits and scholarships reductions are the suspected penalty but everyone is wondering if a bowl ban is coming too.

for what? SC didn't do anything wrong... BWAHAHAHAHA.

I've read that the report has been delivered to Heritage Hall already (this morning at the latest) - meaning SC administration already knows what the penalties are.

So, Scooter, can you use some of your "sources" to "hear" what's going on over there? I'm dying to get just a sliver of info.

If the worst penalty involes a (singular) bowl ban, that's not a terrible outcome. Can't see how it would affect recruiting if current high school seniors wouldn't be affected.

Let's see...USC's 7 game winning streak over UCLA will be reduced to 4 games...which means UCLA enjoyed a 4 game winning streak right after in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006...right now USC is enjoying a 3 game winning streak...which will be snapped because most likely the death penalty is coming...maybe not, but things look very bleak over at South Central right now...my guess is there are lots of tears being shed as you read this, and many second thoughts from players that now wish had never gone to usc...Oh well, at least usc made tons of money during that cheating run the had...I wonder if the NCAA will ask usc to give back that money?

Cheat Carroll knew of the outcome of this a long time ago which is why he bailed out...Kiffin was given a raise so that he would be compensated enough for all the crap he's going to have to endure over the next couple of years...and we all know that desperate times, call for desperate meausures, and my guess is that they will be so desperate to continue the good recruiting that they will be forced to cheat even more to get these players to come...and so far Kiffin and Orgeron (specially Orgeron) seem like snake oil salesmen, these two are going to ruin the program even more, watch and see, you will remember this post.

I hate to say it fellow Bruin fans but....anything short of the death penalty will not have an impact on the recruiting for $c.
If $c get's a bowl ban this year, which is likely, the incoming freshman class can just redshirt a year and not have it effect them and the 2011 class will not be effected by it at all.
I truly do not feel that the Bruins need $c to be sanctioned to make the playing field level, the Bruins have the talent to match up with $c now and it is just up to the players to perform.
I predict 3 scholarship losses a year for 3 years, wins vacated from the Reggie Bush Junior and Senior seasons and a 1 year bowl ban (the bowl ban is questionable as $c brings in the $$$$.
Basketball will not be punished further.

Let's make a bet that the story breaks somewhere other than the Daily News and by someone other than Secondhand Wolf.

Hey NOBS, normally there is no glory in claiming victory by way of forfeit...in this case, I will be more than happy to claim victory...print some of those t-shirts, I will be your first customer...in fact, I'll take 10 of them.

ArticulateRob, between your typos, double postings and inability to comprehend that a vacated win does not equal a win for the opposing team... well. It's like everyone's been saying.

You. Are. Not. Smart.

brob, you can wear it over your 14-9 t-shirt and under your girly ball jersey. Wow. BTW, SC has ZERO t-shirts with scores on them. We EXPECT to win. BUT, I'll make sure to make 10 XSM for you.

I like how robear20 chose to address his "fellow Bruin fans" by posting a message on a USC football blog. That pretty much says it all.

Free,
You're right this guy has got to be only 12 years old and he does make CB sound less stupid(I didn't know that was possible) so he's got a lot of internet time. He should be outdoors playing sports, but when you're a nerd the computer will suffice.

@Cafe 84 Pizza

This is where all of the updates are, as I've stated before.

The UCLA blog is free so I can't complain much...but it pretty much sucks for any type of newsworthy updates. Sad but true.

Also, it is not like there are no $c fans over on the UCLA blog.

It goes both ways pal.

So my fellow Bruin fans.....GO BRUINS!!!!
