No word on whether a 13th game penalty carries over if USC loses its appeal after this season. We ask. The NCAA does not decide . . . to answer.

when I saw the title of this post, I assumed it was going to be on how everyone is still waiting for Baxter to find his phone. That wait continues as well...

The 13th game is the least important part to this whole puzzle. Who cares if SC doesn't get a 13th game next year or the year after. Clearly, the appeal will drag on past the Hawaii game date and well into (if not past) the end of the season. SC can and will get a 13th game this year if they want. They weren't planning on getting a 13th game next year or the year after so I think it is moot. The only way SC cancels this year's Hawaii game is to try and show the NCAA in good faith, that they are trying to cooperate with the portions of the sanctions they believe they've earned.
I still want to know why Floyd got away with no charges and yet the basketball team was still punished with a one year postseason ban (already served). If the infractions committee felt that Floyd did something to warrant a postseason ban, wouldn't it stand to reason that he would have a "show cause" slapped on him - just as McNair did?
Hey sureshot...(whispering) take a look at the USC schedule...you will see USC is scheduled for 13 games this year...I think 14 is what they are hoping to get (still whispering) okay?

I don't believe SC-Hawaii will be cancelled 2 1/2 months before kickoff. It would be patently unfair to the boosters who have made expensive travel plans, and it would not be fair to the wonderful Hawaii aloha fans.
By the way, if you have never been to Hawaii, you owe it to yourself to experience what good people are all about-- a simple life, caring for others, and a smile on their faces even when facing adversity.

The 'SC administration and fanbase could probably learn something then...they SHOULD go, afterall.
