Not exactly news, but BCS executive director Bill Hancock, the guy who will do anything to oppose a college football playoff and hired political spinmasters to fight a playoff, said USC would vacate its 2004 title if it loses its NCAA appeal.

Since OK finished 2nd in the final BCS standings that year I guess the Sooners will be remembered as the 2004 BCS Champs. What was the score in that Orange Bowl?

By the way, Bush had six carries for 75 yards and no TDs rushing and caught 2 passes for 31 yards and no TDs receiving.

White, on the other hand, had 15 carries for 118 yards and 2 TDs rushing, and Steve Smith & Dewayne Jarrett combined for 12 catches for 228 yards and 4 TDs receiving.
