Caesar And Valvano
In the book, ``Win Forever,'' Pete Carroll said that when he interviewed for the USC job, he relied on advice from former North Carolina State basketball coach Jim Valvano, who coached the Wolfpack when Carroll was the defensive coordinator for the football team.
``Coach Valvano told me that my goal should be to walk out of the interview with, `no negatives.'' Every comment, phrase, or story must be positive, and I had to be prepared to talk only about things that put me in the best light.''
As I recall, Valvano also got his basketball program put on two years' probation.
Win Forever!

Picking on Valvano, Scott have you no shame. You deserve all the bruin trolls who have bruined the comment section.
"Don't give up. Don't ever give up."
Scooter took these words to mean never pass up the opportunity to look like a bigger douche than people can possibly imagine you already are.
Picking on Jim Valvano? Wow. Low, Scooter - even for you.
Is it true that Cheaty wanted to call his book, "Don't Give Up, Don't Ever Give Up"? He told me on one of our rendezvous, that it came to him in a dream...
While childish posts like this are being made here, the Times is reporting Malik Jackson is transferring to Tennessee.

arealrascal......Scott apparently doesn't read any other sources for USC. In a earlier question/answer, he said he was unaware of the comments by Kalil about Reggie Bush.
This is one of the most tasteless entries I've ever read. I'm ashamed that this entry represents the Trojan family.
I happen to be a 2009 USC grad who's been looking for a job for the past year. I go into each and every interview (which are already few and far between) with this mentality, knowing that even if they don't select me, I can say I gave it my best.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with keeping this goal in mind, and I think it's applicable to any job you interview for. What kind of message does this send do us recent USC grads? I might as well give the middle finger to my interviewer if I can't sell the most positive image of myself as a candidate as I can, all because a basketball coach and a football coach got in trouble for "walking out of an interview with no negatives".
Way to rub salt in the wounds of a graduating class still suffering from the effects of a rough recession, Mr. Wolf.
HAHA...Trogans = overpriced education for no job. Cheat ON!
nice one spedjones. take you a long time to come up with that one? and was it on your own?
