Contrary to popular belief, and that of Trolls, SC doesn't give a "bucket of charlie" what anybody else does. We don't waste our time and energy focusing on the failure of other programs, only the success of our own.

However, I can see why Trolls would do the opposite since women's softball is the only claim to success they've had in years. Oh and basketball. Wait a second....

Why gloat over it? It's a stupid law that encourages binge drinking and other risky behavior with alcohol. They can forced to go to war, forced to twiddle their thumbs in a juror box for days on end, and they're not allowed even the opportunity to use alcohol responsibly.

No reason to gloat. This behavior is nothing new at Neutered Down. Clausen and company were often pickled.

Let's get real. Who can honestly say that they were never guilty of under aged drinking when they went to college? If it were drugs, or theft, etc. I would be feeling that this is serious, but drinking...

If they didn't drink at ND where would they??? It's an Irish tradition! No big deal...

Perhaps Wolf's curiosity about whether Trojans are gloating over NDs misfortunes can now be put to rest. The answer is no.

And Ugly Bucket talking about 'class' is a real hoot. Every chance he gets he is putting down 'Southern Cal,'-- and he talks about a breach (oops, I mean, 'breech') of sportsmanship as if he were some kind of expert on the subject.

Practice what you preach (I mean 'preech')you leech and perhaps you will reech and be able to teech us Trojans how to be good sports.

Sounds to me like you DO indeed "waste your time and energy focusing on the failure of other programs" since the question was asked about the order of finish and you did not bother to list where your beloved trogans will finish. If you indeed do not care about other programs you should have listed $c as finishing first and THEN did the "who cares" bit the rest of the way down.

Your hypocrisy is amazing and your true colors shine through.

Oh please, what is there to gloat at? kids drinking in college, oh boy!! Tell me they got caught stealing, assaulting, or sexually assaulting a female than it would be news worthy, or getting caught cheating.

Hold on, this is HUGE STORY. The report of the NCAA infractions commmittee, which prominently featured Missy Conboy the Notre Dame asst. atheletic director as a key member, clearly and self-righteously took strong exception over an incident where Reggie Bush went to a club/restaurant with a recruit where alchohol was served. (not that they actually had any alcohol, it was merely served there). This wasn't a buried footnote, it was blared on page 2 of the report and sanctimoniously pointed to as a key example of where USC "fostered an atmosphere in which student-athletes could feel entitled to special treatment and which almost certainly contributed to the difficulties of compliance staff in achieving a rules-compliant program."

This page 2 missive set the stage for the NCAA's polemnic condemnation of the culture in Los Angeles and its case for sanctions. So the real story here is not Notre Dame per se, its the stunning hypocracy of the NCAA's infraction committee, including Missy Conboy. As Notre Dames' compliance director, she now has no choice but to suspend these players for the entire season.

Agreed, underage drinking is a pretty tame offense. But the Irish sure do get riled up when it's their rival who imbibes (see: Missy Conboy).

I wonder if Teo got his boy Toma (also arrested) to sneak in to the monseigneur's cabinet and grab the Jesus Juice. Easy defense for the team though: "We weren't drinking illegally – we were simply taking Sacrament in a more 'woodsy' location."

The Donkey says that even he as an A$$ knows that type of gloating is reserved for the bucking fruins.

The only reason NONE of you are jumping on ND for this is because this type of incident is like stealing candy compared to the crime arrests of USC players.

NDLarry..........be careful. It's easy to think your program is clean until some idiot player does something stupid or worst.

sureshot, Teo is going to take Matt Barkley to a "woodsy location," but he won't be giving Barkley any Jesus Juice. The Jesus Juice is only for members of the True Church.

The Irish play with heart, determination, and faith -- not for tricked out Impalas or a free house for the parents. So the kids had some beers -- USC's players are probably all drinking smirnoff ice on their way to ballroom dancing class.

Come November, USC's winning streak is getting broken, and Barkley will be "taking communion" with a mouthful of Coliseum sod.

$c's success has not been overlooked by myself or any other Bruin fan...we are well aware that $c had the best team money could buy and were very successful.

It is unfortunate about the sanctions because the run is over and the sanctions will now be the excuse as to why it ended.

$c has some very good players but Barkley is WAY over-rated and $c will only be as good as the QB and that will not be very good.

You have a pretty soft non conference schedule so I will give you 7 wins..... maybe 8 if someone misses a field goal.
