Moore Leaves

Safety Byron Moore will attend Harbor College next season and transfer to another school. Because he is a redshirt freshman, he cannot gain instant eligibility under the NCAA sanctions rule.

Claims it's not related to sanctions. Just bad timing I guess.

Wolfie, what do you think about this juicey little nugget?

Brother Byron, this is the Rev. W.E.B. Dupree, pastor of the Normandie Lord of Zion church, and I want you to know that you made the right decision! I will ask my congregation to pray for you this Sunday, but I can see that you have already begun to walk the path of righteousness -- which leads straight away from that lyin' and cheatin' USC football program.

Like you, Brother Byron, I was seduced onto that bandwagon, but no more! I once was lost, but now am found! Was blind, but now can see!

I'm here to help the whole Trojan nation turn away from sin. Can I get an AMEN?

Classic, Rodney. Funny, but that's EXACTLY as I said it was the night the big allegations came out. Baxter feels like a chump for falling for SC's "no sanctions" line and this is the result. Where's daguppie when you really want to hear from him?

Hey Rodney, I did enjoy this bit from the story you linked to...

"White spoke with Baxter and made plans to meet him the next day at Mission Bay High School. When he arrived at 10 a.m. he was surprised to see several other coaches there – including Rick Neuheisel of UCLA and Steve Fairchild of Colorado State.

"'I talked to him --- a nice kid --- for all of two minutes,' said White. 'He told me he had re-committed to USC. Neuheisel said, "Go ahead and take what time you need." I thanked him and said "That’s all I need."'"

I hope Rick had time to stop in and catch some action at the Pechanga Casino, so his trip down south wasn't a total loss.

Probably left for the superior academics at Junior College. I heard Harbor College is tougher than Senora Ross' spanish class

oh...by the way, BYRON who? Oh, you mean the under achiever who was moved from CORNER to FS because he runs like he has a household appliance starpped to his back and got his ankles broken on more than one occassion by DB as he made him jump out of his jock strap. And he tackles like a 'tard trying to catch a fart in a wind storm. Oh, him. And? see-ya. Maybe he can enroll at UCLA and be "SUPER STAR".

This is truly crappy timing, but this looks much more like a depth chart exodus than anything related to the sanctions. The fact that he's willing to sit out a year only seems to reinforce the case. With both Hall & McAllister returning from injury, I wouldn't be surprised to see him drop to 3rd or 4th at FS and all the guys in front of him are pretty young. This happens a few times every year and the team keeps on going. Hopefully he lands at a school where he gets a shot at starting time. More hopefully they can use his ride (and a few others) for some early admission OLers that beat the clock before the scholarship reductions start against the 2012 class.

ROTFLMAO the "evil empire" is crumbling right before our eyes!!So let's see, Cambell, Jones, Jackson, (missing someone else) Moore, Henderson, Stanley....NEXT???!!! KEEP IT MOVING! KEEP IT MOVING!!! LMAO at daguppie. When confronted with overwhelming evidence of his boy Baxter being a big liar he resorts to slurp and slobber posts before bashing a guy who all at SC deem to be a great kid and a great football player. I'm sure the trogan family is happy to have you on board! Lie ON!

The Monopoly Is Over Here Author Profile Page said:

Wow Losin Rob, you are retarded. Glen Stanley is a J.C. linebacker. Stay out of Trojan message boards you pathetic new weasel scum.

Look at all these players who have left. None are starters. Lane is making scholarship room for early enrollees so we can sign more than 15 for 2011. Oh yeah, check our 2011 recruits so far!

BruinRob Author Profile Page said:

datrout, typical condom response when a players sees the light "Byron who?! - he sucks anyway!" BUAHAHAHAHA

Correction: Glen Stanley is LB not a WR...let's see...out of the 2010 recruiting class, USC recruited only 2 OLinemen and ONE is gone...they recruited 2 LBs and ONE is gone...PLUS two more LBs that have transfere out...the OLines was already thin, and they've had to convert DLinmen to play LB because they were already SUPER THIN there before losing the three I just mentioned...all 4 projected DBs will be starters for the first time this year, and these delusional condom fans are talking about 13-0??!! BUAHHAHAHAHAHAHA - WHERE CAN I GET SOME OF THAT KOOL AID?? BUAHAHAHAAHA

you really think SC's going to sign 10+ quality EE's this year? That's crazier than thinking UF would be calling Baxter on his cell phone.

Brother Trout, listen to me now! I feel your pain! Like you, I was once on the USC bandwagon, and I turned a blind eye to the terrible truth -- no matter how dirty the program, the winning was so good! But with each loss last season, the Lord spoke to me, and when the NCAA handed down the sanctions, it was a sign from God -- it was time to get off the bandwagon and walk the true path!

Brother Trout, I see the pain in your posts -- the anger, the insults, the weird gay shenanigans. The Lord can save you, my son! It's not too late! Put down the Kool-Aid, and take a sip from the blood of the lamb!

I don't think anyone would reasonably be expecting that SC would get 10 early guys, but 3-5 good guys is very possible, especially at positions of need like OL & LB. Top JC guys are mostly looking at getting a shot at immediate playing time & NFL exposure. That is exactly what SC has to offer. Admissions for JC guys has been their biggest problem historically, so I see that as the biggest hinderance.

As far as people saying that the guys who are leaving "suck", I think that is ridiculous. However, when coaches are breaking down tape, I don't think that game planning for Jordan Campbell & Malik Jackson. Moore was probably the least highly regarded in a class of 4 very good safeties. You had to expect that one of them would jump ship before too long. Getting lost in a shuffle of Hall, McDonald & Starling is nothing to be ashamed of and I it is very reasonable that he would look for an opportunity somewhere else.

@ Mike, no it's not a pizza driver holiday that I know of, so what the heck are doing on this blog!!...hurry and deliver my pizza!! you doosh!!
@ Monopoly WAS over here, dude put down that crack pipe, USC does NOT have any starters from last year starting anywhere on defense...as for your 2011 class keep drinking that Kool Aid it will help cope with all the losses you will have from everyone jumping off a sinking ship...no OLine = no running game = forced passing = Picks...4 inexperienced DBs starting on your defense, NO LBS three LBs have transfered or refused to play for a cheating program, no DLine, you best DLineman is out for the season, in other words USC SUCKS!!!...I said 7-6 season a few days ago...no it looks like 6-7...and by the way doosh, don't get too comfortable, there will more players jumping off the ship. BUAHAHAHAHAHA

Hem Monopoly guy, RB & WR U?...RBs can't run on their own, they need OLine to open the holes, guess what? USC has no OLine BUAHAHAHA...WRs, who's going to throw them the ball when Barkley will stamped on the ground from getting no blocking? You apparently know NOTHING about football...the OLine is the key on offense, you could have 10-star recruits at RB and WR, but if you have no OLine, you suck!!! Why do you think Rick Neuheisel hasn't been able to do squat? Dorell left him with no OLine most of the guys starting the first two years were JC starters at best and had very little depth...look for Deanthony to go somewhere else, why would he commit to play RB at a school that just lost the #1 recruit in the nation and also the biggest dude in the nation, Henderson...DUH!!! Kiffin is a terrible rectuiter he gets 23 recruits to commit and 18 of them are WRs. what a dufus!!

I don't understand how SC was trying to play Tennessee in next year's opener. i though we already have 12 games planned.

if we can play in that chic filet opener, shouldn't we try to do it against the most difficult team possible because we have to play the like of the lowly bruins during the regular season and we might not be able to play in a bowl game?

what are the % chances that the appeals accepetd by ncaa?

does the ncaa usually try to eliminate rival school and/or conference school representatives from being on the committee?

i love watching old ucla film when neweasel was terry's assistant and seeing neweasel lick terry's boots all day long.

isn't it funny how the recruits who abandon USC at the last minute end up at UCLA and end up being problems?

hey trolls, who should the next coach be for bruin football and basketball? what;s the deal with butch davis? seems like he did a good job at miami and currently at NC. probably not enough of a dork for the bruins...
