This is truly crappy timing, but this looks much more like a depth chart exodus than anything related to the sanctions. The fact that he's willing to sit out a year only seems to reinforce the case. With both Hall & McAllister returning from injury, I wouldn't be surprised to see him drop to 3rd or 4th at FS and all the guys in front of him are pretty young. This happens a few times every year and the team keeps on going. Hopefully he lands at a school where he gets a shot at starting time. More hopefully they can use his ride (and a few others) for some early admission OLers that beat the clock before the scholarship reductions start against the 2012 class.

Brother Trout, listen to me now! I feel your pain! Like you, I was once on the USC bandwagon, and I turned a blind eye to the terrible truth -- no matter how dirty the program, the winning was so good! But with each loss last season, the Lord spoke to me, and when the NCAA handed down the sanctions, it was a sign from God -- it was time to get off the bandwagon and walk the true path!

Brother Trout, I see the pain in your posts -- the anger, the insults, the weird gay shenanigans. The Lord can save you, my son! It's not too late! Put down the Kool-Aid, and take a sip from the blood of the lamb!

I don't think anyone would reasonably be expecting that SC would get 10 early guys, but 3-5 good guys is very possible, especially at positions of need like OL & LB. Top JC guys are mostly looking at getting a shot at immediate playing time & NFL exposure. That is exactly what SC has to offer. Admissions for JC guys has been their biggest problem historically, so I see that as the biggest hinderance.

As far as people saying that the guys who are leaving "suck", I think that is ridiculous. However, when coaches are breaking down tape, I don't think that game planning for Jordan Campbell & Malik Jackson. Moore was probably the least highly regarded in a class of 4 very good safeties. You had to expect that one of them would jump ship before too long. Getting lost in a shuffle of Hall, McDonald & Starling is nothing to be ashamed of and I it is very reasonable that he would look for an opportunity somewhere else.
