The SC Trojan football history book will state that Pete Carroll had a great run while the Trojan coach, but that he left SC right before serious sanctions were meted out for actions on his watch.
Just like Clinton and Lewinsky, Carroll/Bush and Sanctions will always go hand-in-hand.
Sure he is going to deny the timing. DUHHHHHHHHHHH, would you expect him to say, well, yes I (we) knew the NCAA was sniffing around and things were coming unglued, so Seattle's offer came just in time for us to escape all this?
