There is already considerable speculation within the athletic dept. that J.K. McKay will succeed Pat Haden as athletic director.

there's also speculation that he's going to bring his best friend Bear with him when he does.

It was B.J. and the Bear, but don't let the facts get in the way, Sped.

I know nothing about JK McKay other than he was a reciever on his dad's team at SC and is buddy-buddy with Haden. If that qualifies for the requirements to be AD at SC, then that tells you its more important in who you know than what you have accomplished to deserve the position. Is there any other way to see this?

Is J.K. McKay related to J.K. Rowlings? Man, I love Harry Potter, even though Mother says its to teach kids about the devil.

uscmike, I've never heard of BJ the Bear. Was it about Bruins?

By the way Troxans, I heard on the radio this morning tha tyour best wide retrievers Brandon Carson and Trevor Patterson are leaving. Rats getting off a plane going down in flames! Taste it!

Speculation from the same people that thought the NCAA sanctions would only include scholarship reductions. Let Haden get to work and forget speculation. FIGHT ON!

Just great.

Admit to not knowing much about JK McKay, yet speculate on his qualifications anyway. Nice work.

Carswell and Patterson were so vital to USC. Remind me again about their career starts and receptions.

Maybe folks should be required to score higher on the wonderlic than Vince Young before being allowed to post.

Amazing. Haden hasn't even warmed the AD's chair and there is speculation about his successor. What a mess.

Jon Author Profile Page said:

It's not a mess. It's a result of people recognizing that Haden is way over-qualified to be a college AD. Yet he's doing it anyway because it's USC.

Come on Wolf... Haden made a long-term commitment and has left his successful jobs to take the AD role seriously. He has not intent of leaving for at least a decade. You really got to stop this trashing of everything USC. And you wonder why you were not invited by Pat for his media day?
