Winners Of The Week
Despite all the bad news around USC, there are a few winners this week:
Pat Haden -- Rides in on a white horse and fills the small shoes of Mike Garrett.
James Grant -- University spokesperson is upfront in conversations and has a sense of humor, two rare traits in the PR business.
Brandon Carswell -- Will get a fresh start at Cincinnati, which he probably deserves.
Max Nikias -- New USC president looks like a visionary compared to Steven Sample with one move.
And here's a loser:
Pete Carroll -- Wrongly claims only one compliance person worked when Reggie Bush played football and tried to reduce Bush's role in HBO interview. Appeared tin-eared by going on book tour during sanctions and tried to resist questions about it with some members of the media.
how about Glen Stanley, who can't get out of Fig Tech fast enough. Or datrout, who's still so sour about being wrong on Baxter he can't sleep at night?
Biggest Loser: SC fans wanting Inside information still stuck with Scott Wolf

Our hero Scott Wolf is obviously not going to change no matter how much criticism is rained on him

I do think Carroll's book release and tour couldn't have come at a worst time. It would have been interesting if Pete was still at USC. Would this have reinvigorated him or would he have spiraled down?
Let's revisit this list of "winners" in a year. Let's see if Scott is waxing poetic over these guys or making the catty remarks of a scorned lover by then. Max Nikias' tenure at USC? Looking like a repeat of Lawrence Summers at Harvard.

Now that they know the consequences they potentially face.....it's an all out unified media attack on Agents to deflect and minimize the school's and coach's responsibility & liability. Typical SEC.
Also, a Television Bowl Ban was discussed for USC, then rejected "after consultation with our TV partners"...ESPN/ABC/FSN were winners in prior weeks, profiting mightly thanks in no small part to Reggie Bush's nationwide popularity.
What a FRAUD..........
According to sources, even after the Chapter 11 re-org, the Daily News is one of the only papers in LANG chain that is still losing money and it means Wolf will likely soon be gone. Cannot imagine any other industry hiring this embittered, puerile blockhead.

Rewind - The loser in this entire fiasco is Lamar Griffin - step dad to Reggie. He is the toilet scum (probably was unemployed and lloking for an easy touch) who thought he could scam his step kid with a bunch of low life thugs. He did. Where is he in this whole thing? Living the good life in San Diego? PC is supposed to know Lamar is a low life like Fred Sanford? He is coaching a team, not running around San Diego looking for some piece of crap like Lamar. PC ain't perfect but this whole thing is on Bush and his family. Look at what is going on now in the SEC, Sabin, Meyer, Spurrier are they keeping track of every kid going to parties and taking cash?
