Answer Tuesday! (Part 5)
In this segment, questions on Nickell Robey and D.J. Morgan.

What former USC or NFL player does nickell robey remind you of?
A: He sort out of reminds me of a smaller version of Shareece Wright: Lean. Athletic. Fast. Robey's got almost unlimited potential aside from his size. It will be interesting to see how he does against taller receivers in the first few games.

Sorry, two part question for you -- but how is DJ Morgan doing? i know he's recovering from his knee injury - but is he running full speed yet and to what extent is he able to compete in team drills? also, do you know if he's going to run track in the spring? Thanks!
A: Morgan thinks he might be full speed within a month. Since tailback is a deep position, I expect him to redshirt. He is currently at 80 percent of his original knee strength. With spring practice, it probably will be difficult to do much in track until the USC_UCLA dual meet.

With the exception of the Kiffin prefered two-back system and some new players on the field, are we going to see the same offense we have been seeing these past 10 years?
A: The offense is pretty similar. There are less deep passes now than in the spring mainly because the defense is more focused on denying them. But in some scrimmages, the tight end and fullbacks got more passes than in recent years. Kiffin threw a lot of deep passes when he called plays at USC, so I suspect he will look for those again once the season starts. A lot will also depend on the health of Stanley Havili.

Love to count, I do.
As high as 4, can I count.
Not needed, higher numbers will be.
Only 4 glorious victories, UCLA football will earn this season.
Sugary sweeet, this scoop is.
It, you must taste.
This just in, Taylor King not coming to USC, check out http://usc.ocregister.com for all the details and more USC-related news. For more Seattle Seahawks and Richmond Spiders news, stay tuned to this blog.
Keep on Oooopin scoopin, Wolfman.
This just in, Lawyer John revealed his full name and
e-mail address in a previous post a while back-- well documented and available to present as evidence.
-- Probably the only person who ever did so on this blog. So my identity has been made public, and hence subject to actual and constructive notice.
And thus as as known and identifiable individual, false and vitriolic comments about his lawyer abilities and his law business fall within the purview of defamation rules i.e. do not state false facts about one's profession to undermine his/her ability to conduct business
All else is fair game of course, and who cares, but my professional abilities are another matter according to the law.
So perhaps this will change some minds including the lawyer who is pizza 1984, or I'm sorry, whatever your moniker is.
This could prove to be a case posing an interesting, pioneering, establishing law and limits situation, relevant to the new cyberspace "say whatever you wish" era. Can't wait to take on that egotistical Bucket or whatever his name is. I will know shortly.
Stay tuned
I can only hope that Lawyer John's account has been hacked because he can't be serious can he? If so, I recommend he take a vacation from the blog. As we used to say back in the day "Lighten up, Francis."
YoSmackBucket:
funny, that was.
herh herh herh.
Lawyer John, funnny you are not.
anger, to the dark side leads.
the Dark Side is strong with you now i sense.
meditate on this, you must, hmmmm?
No, this latest update does not change my mind. I have been reading this blog, and its user comments, daily for years. (What does that say about me?) I was reading this blog for years before I ever posted a comment. And I have no recollection of Lawyer John's post in which, in the manner of Iron Man/Tony Stark, he revealed his true identity.
Therefore, I would testify for the defense that even I, a faithful reader of this blog, have no idea who Lawyer John actually is, and Bucket's posts have not affected my opinion of any lawyer named John. I don't even buy constructive notice on this one.
If any of you out there in Trash-Talk Land actually do remember Lawyer John's revelation, I would be curious to hear it. Maybe I'm the only one who doesn't remember. I have often wondered who he really is. Perhaps he's my boss.
(Lawyer John, you seem to be a good-natured person and I have nothing against you; I just think you are going overboard with this defamation stuff.)
By the way, anyone who attended USC in the 90's, as I did, must have had some pizza at Cafe 84 between Webb and Fluor towers.
Sorry, I cannot recall either, Cafe'84. I do seem to recall some attorney talking about his botched sex change operation but that was years ago and it most certainly WAS NOT Lawyer John.
But I will say this, if this vexatious litigation results in ChuckyBucky leaving this blog, I will consider an intergalactic suit for Wit and Charm Depravation. And I think that suit has about as much legal merit as the threats made recently against parties to be named later!
I remain, your's truly,
Yoda's Attorney
Be careful lawyer john, you may be suing wolf or papadakis (wouldn't that be sugary sweet).
@cafe84 i attended usc in the 2000's and i too ate pizza at cafe 84 and live at fluor. hehe good times
Jeez, some people need to get over themselves. Who gives a damn about what the hell somebody does other than these people themselves? If you call someone out, be man enough to take the heat. Here's a recommendation, go watch "Thrilla in Manila" on HBO. If anyone had a reason to take legal action for what someone said about him it was Joe Frazier vs. Ali, but he was a man and dealt with it like a man should. You have to respect a guy for taking what he did and not CRYING. Stop with the legal wimpiness, this is just a stupid sports blog.
In the 70s it was Two Guys from Italy among others for the pizza fix. Fight On!
Cafe '84 was constructed - or renamed - circa the 1984 Los Angeles Olypmpics. The Olympic swimming events were held at USC's pool - thus its location and namesake.
In the 80's, it was Dr. Munchies pizza...
In the 90's, I was never a fan of Cafe 84. It was all about Chano's for me.
