Former USC quarterback Aaron Corp was named the starter at Richmond for the Spiders' season-opener against Virginia. He must feel weird finding out before the day of the game.
Poor guy. How could he play without fair warning. Give it a rest Wolf.

I know the guy one hops 15 yard outs and barely beat out 1-AA competition but any chance he can play for UCLA? I mean, have you seen what Norm and I have to work with?

Brothers and sisters, I see that one of my previous comments was taken down. I admit, I have gone too far lately. I have not "done unto others" with my comments. I will stop calling him "Lane Pimpin" (though I think that nickname is actually kinda cool).
It's just that sometimes I get SEIZED BY THE SPIRIT. And I just want to spread the Word among the Trojans, so that they can go live better, cleaner lives just like young Brother Corp.
The Rev. W.E.B. Dupree is praying for you, Corp, and for all the Richmond Spider-Mans!

Poor, poor Aaron Corp. Give me a break.
The job of a backup QB is to be ready at any time. Period. Corp didn't have the mental fortitude to play at USC.
Corp is a better QB than Barkley and should have been the starter a year ago.
Corp is dual threat and throws great on the run or keep the ball for 5-10 yard gains, while Barkley can only pass well in the pocket and with a terrible OLine this year Barkley will be extremely ineffective, watch and see.

i predict corp transfers to stanford, northwestern, ucla, michigan or oregon. if i were him, i'd go to stanford, although i think harbaugh already has a lot of quarterbacks and he might not have a lot of schollies left.
it's hard to imagine corp making an nfl team. he'd be a good fit for the oregon program, but the skills learned there don't translate well to nfl.
Best of luck to him.
