Early Impact

At this point of training camp, the two most impressive freshmen are wide receiver Robert Woods and cornerback Nickell Robey. Both are challenging for starting spots. I am not including tailback Dillon Baxter because he was here in the spring.
Woods seems to make a big play at every practice, which is not surprising to anyone who saw him play in high school. Robey's a better-than-expected tackler for someone who is 5-7.
Redshirt freshman Torin Harris still looks like the starter at this point at cornerback though because he's also had an impressive training camp.

Sounds to me like he will be used in the "Nickell" package. I'm sorry, that was awful.

Where's the drummer from the "Tonight Show Band" when you need him.

Maybe he could sell Baxter a "Nickell" bag!

Defensive backs are gonna be good this year. People think that is a weakness at sc, but with wright's leadership and nickell's and torrin's skills, we will be ball hawking fools. Time to once again dominate the turnover plus minus.

I've been speaking about my boy rob woods for weeks now. Everybody talking bout D-bax, but my boy from lakewood is here to stomp on Bruins.
