Agree with Brainiac, why would you want Gillespie back who is in his late sixties and had his time at USC? Also in twenty years made the CWS only four times. His family has had control of the program for 24 years which is more than enough. Need new direction and new bloodline. Not happy with choice of Cruz as interim coach who is an extension of the Gillespie crew.

Gillespie was THE RIGHT hire when Dedeaux was at the end of his tenure and was a lazy sheet, he is NOT the choice now.
Savage SHOULD have been the choice when Gillespie was let go a year late, but is he the right choice now?
Whoever the youngest guy of that group is would be the choice, no old farts hires at this point, the program needs a young energetic guy.

You Troxans don't know anything -- Barry Bonds is probably your most famous baseball player alumnust. He got famous belting homers, but then steroid questions arose when he was pictured on teh cover of Sports Illustrated with Sammy Sosa -- Bonds was the white guy with the juiced up arms.
