Seattle rookie safety Earl Thomas got beat on a 56-yard pass the first play of last night's exhibition game with Green Bay.
``He thought he had the play made,'' Pete Carroll said. "The ball was amazingly thrown, and a great catch as well. He was there. We could have played better, there should have been two guys on it. Earl had a chance at it and didn't make his play.''
Somewhere, Taylor Mays is smiling.
I would mention the Seahawks lost the game but I don't think that will be unusual this season.

How the hell do you get beat on a 56-yard pass play when you practically line up in a neighboring state? Or does Earl Thomas get to play defense with the rest of his team?
