How did we miss this? Michael Cooper hired his son, Michael Cooper II, as his assistant coach earlier this summer. Cooper II worked as a scout for the Sparks and was general manager of the Albuquerque Thunderbirds. I wonder if this would wash in the new Haden administration.
Probably because Pete Carroll didn't tweet about it, that's how.

I guess you also missed the bigger hire that day - Mt. SAC coach Laura Beeman. She won four state titles for the Mounties, and worked one season with Cooper with the Sparks.
