No Crosstown Sympathy

UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel was asked by San Diego sports-talk radio host Darren Smith if he felt sorry for Lane Kiffin.
``No. He's got a great job. It's a tremendous opportunity for him to weather the adversity. Adversity comes with these jobs. You don't necessarily always know when it's coming but every time you hit an adverse situation it's an opportunity to show how you can navigate it and this is a tremendous opportunity for him.''

Erik Ainge checked into rehab. I guess Kiffin didn't do a good job keeping an eye on his players when he was at Tennessee. Just like those three players that got arrested for robbing a student at gunpoint at SUC last year. Same ol' Lame Kitten, just like his mentor Cheaty Pete.

Neuheisel should know about adversity. He's been run out of town a couple of times. However, he shows much more class, and makes alot more sense than the blogger above. ( ucla Dynasty. )We don't blame their coach for the recent ucla purse stealing incident.( aka 3 guys stealing from one girl ) I would hate to think the only advantage I could hold over others, would be their misfortune, ( USC ) instead of my accomplishments ( ucla ) PS..ucla Dynasty must be an older gentleman. You would have to be quite old to remember the last Dynasty their Men's athletic program has had.

Right, Rick.

And the Dodgers' Joe Toree this year inherited a banjo-hitting team with only 3 good pitchers. Like Lane, Kiffen, he too has got a great opportunity to prove himself.

And speaking of which, Rick, how are you doin' in year-3 of your "opportunity" over there in westwood?

Rick sounds a little bitter that he's stuck coaching at UCLA, while Kiffin gets to coach at USC. Maybe after Rick gets fired, Kiffin will let him give motivational speeches to our punters...

Rick to punters: Remember guys, you are the most important players on the team! Punting is winning!

Punters to Rick: This isn't UCLA.

UCLA has announced that the Rose Bowl is going to be renovated over the next three years. I think it's great when a tenant, ( ucla ) fixes up a property for the actual owners. ( USC ) I wonder if some of the younger bruin fans even know that there is a game entitled The Rose Bowl ? It's been so long since they played in the game, they may just think it's the name of the Stadium .

And that would have something to do with what? Eric Ainge left Tennessee several years ago. In fact, he was in the NFL when Kiffin was still coaching the Raiders. So what does Eric Ainge have to do with anything?

I can only assume that you mistook Ainge for Jonathan Crompton, the terrible quarterback that Kiffin molded into a draftable player. The guy whose parents praised Kiffin ad noseum for crafting their son into a guy who the NFL actually wanted (after being nearly run out of Tennessee).

Is this the kind of thinking coming out of Westwood these days? No wonder you guys think the monopoly is over.

I still say UCLA Dynasty is just someone doing a parody of a UCLA troll. That silly post above fits with my theory.
