On King
Just to clarify some things regarding Taylor King, who is not going to transfer to USC. He was going to walk-on but USC never told him he could officially join the basketball team. And at some point in recent days, USC decided it would be better if he played elsewhere before he got a chance to enroll. There were some concerns about how he might blend in after transferring from two previous schools.

Kevin O'Neill's got some nerve thinking that a program without much history and still subject to self-imposed sanctions can do better than take what it can get.
Tough luck for Taylor King, but it seems USC basketball has its sights (finally) set higher.
"There were some concerns about how he might blend in..."
Sometimes I think the name of this blog should be changed to "Silky Whispers, with Scott Wolf". Note how Wolf slips into the passive voice: "There were some concerns". Who had those concerns? Kind of like, "Shots were fired."
Are there unnamed sources at USC using Wolf to leak their opinions and hint at bigger issues, with regard to various players? Does Wolf now play the role for USC which Robert Novak so long played for Republicans in our nation's capital?
Cafe -- You give Wolf way too much credit. He is an unwitting tool. Nothing more. I call him secondhand wolf because his stories rarely contain direct quotes. I think LK tolerates him, but in general Wolf is persona non grata at HH. I can't imagine why.
Consider this. In the weeks following LK being named head coach, the real paper in L.A. has been granted one-on-ones with LK and PH. Wolf is hitless. T.J. Simers, BS-sniffer extraordinaire, has written two columns highly-favorable toward LK. TJ hates BS'ers. He openly disdains Neuweasel, but LK has passed the sniff test.
Meanwhile our follicly-challenged anti-hero is hitless. Waters covers 70% of the Earth. Wolf covers his a**.
