Season Opener
It's time for our annual season-opening post . . . about the English Premier League, that is. Who do you think will win it all? Chelsea in a repeat? Manchester United bent on revenge? Arsenal? A resurgent Liverpool? Dark-horse Tottenham?
I tipped Chelsea but I'm wavering following their weak preseason. Who do you pick?
I think... who cares.
I think the UCLA men's soccer team would be the best out of all of those teams. Landon Donovan and Beckham would be just too much to handle for Fabio Capello's team. Especially with Cobi Jones setting up the attack from the wing and Alexi Lalas solidifying the back line.
Is this "Inside English Premier League" or "Inside USC" ...?

Hey Scott - I'm a die hard SC FAN and I love the EPL - so screw all these other haters!
Here's how it will break down:
Man U (Chicharito will rock the world this year)
Chelski (only cuz Petr Cech is injured to start the season)
Man City (WOW - these guys SHOULD win it all but not sure if they're ready)
Arsenal (my favs & with Cesc back - watch out!)
La Liga will be the same as always: BARCA & Real Madrid - easily the two best clubs on the planet
Liga Mexicana - Cruz Azul has an awesome lineup but you know they'll fail. Chivas, Toluca & Santos will all be there at the end.

I used to hate Soccer until I decided to watch some of the world cup games, and man! I must say those soccer players are some athlete! put any of the USC football players out there on the soccer field and they wouldn't last a half, they would either cramp up in the first 20 minutes or they would have torn ACLs by the end of the game.
I don't know many of the EPL teams but I'm with PABLITO on this one, Manchester United with Chicharito is the team to beat.
