For how many years will Wolf contrive ways to shoehorn posts about Pete Carroll into this blog?

A) Only for this season

B) For the rest of the Kiffin era

C) For the rest of the decade

D) Until the Rapture happens

Before you vote, consider this: if Pete had stayed, wouldn't he have left last year's assistant coaches in place too? But seriously, I don't think we have a very good idea of how we are doing right now, much less being able to determine how we would have been.

they'd be 2-0.

Um, Carroll started 2-5 (with less talent of course). A new coaching staff and the team need time to mesh. They need to show improvement in Minnesota.

I think they'd be a happier team.

I think they'd be a team with a wider margin of victory.

I also think they'd be worse for the long term.

Now if you told me that Pete was the coach and he had Kiff has his O Coordinator, Orgeron as D-line coach, Monte as defensive coordinator, and Pola at running backs coach, I might tell you they were better off - because I think Pete was the master at keeping things light and fun for the kids. But Kiffin will have this team better in the long run, assuming he keeps his assistants and he keeps recruiting like he has. Kiffin could be very potent given the right circumstance.

I still think Chris Petersen could have been Urban Meyer 2.0 (the better version)

This is a crappy, boring football team ... with many losses to come. Goatboy Kiffin is a joke and always will be, Pete with good assistants ( Chow , O, Davis ) was pretty damn good.
