Championship Game Time
With Colorado joining the Pac-10 next season the big development will be the staging of a conference title game, which means a major cash infusion. The conference will now need to decide the alignment of divisions, likely to be next month. By the way, USC athletic director Pat Haden will be unable to attend next month's meetings, so he will send another representative from the athletic dept.
Where to put the game? Rotating between Pro stadiums in Arizona, Seattle, San Francisco, Denver, along with either the Rose Bowl or Coliseum (or San Diego). The problem with this is that weather could be a big factor in Denver, Seattle, and even SF. If you put it in one spot, I'd say either Arizona or San Diego. Cardinals Stadium is the better venue and has a retractable roof, but San Diego would be as close to a nuetral site as any.
