Lane Kiffin on Ronald Johnson's 89-yard punt return.
``That was great coaching,'' he said. ``We didn't block four guys.''

15 - 2010 - redshirt players who player 5 yrs.
20 - 2011 class - estimated in anticipation pre-sanctions
15 - 2012 class - if worst possible sanctions
15 - 2013 class - if worst possible sanctions
15 - 2014 class - if worst possible sanctions
minus 10 randoms who leave/get injured out of all classes

total at end/worst possible point of sanctions = 70

which is what we have now.

lane is a simple man. alabama is number one in the polls. time for more skynard:

mama told me when i was young,
sit beside me my only son.
and listen closely, to what i say
and if you do this, it'll help you some sunny day
oh yes

oh take your time, don't live too fast
troubles will come, and they will pass
find a woman, and you'll find love
and don't forget son there is someone up above
and be a simple kind of man
oh be something you love and understand
baby be a simple kind of man
oh won't you do this for me son if you can

forget your lust for the rich man's gold
all that you need is in your soul
and you can do this, oh babe, if you try
all that i want for you my son is to be satisfied

oh don't you worry, you'll find yourself
follow your heart, and nothing else
and you can do this, oh babe, if you try
all that i want for you my son, is to be satisfied
and be a simple kind of man
oh be something you love and understand
oh won't you do this for me son if you can

It's unfortunate but it seems Kiffin truly is a tool 24/7.

I see people complaining that SC scored too soon with the punt return and other times with the offense. It didn't allow the thin defense to rest. Last year we complained that SC had no quick strike capability. Now people want them to grind it out. Bottom line is the defense better get their sh*t together because the offense will have off games and won't be able to outscore everyone.

Hi Trojan Conquest,

I agree. The offense and special teams saved us. It is important to note that Lane saved us. Bates would never have called a game well enough to score points like Lane. The last time Lane called for us we averaged 49 points per game and here he goes again! It is really important that the defense learns to defend before the second half of the season. We can get away with a lot given our offense and special teams, but we will need a capable defense to get past the Oregon teams, Stanford and possibly ND and maybe even UCLA. The Arizona schools may prove difficult and Washington might as well. We really need to get our secondary and DLine to do their part.
