Virginia coach Mike London said the game officials told him they incorrectly called a penalty on the Cavaliers' successful fake punt. That was a potential turning point.
``I was told they blew the call (after halftime) by the guy who made the call and the referee. It's a shame, a crying shame. It happens sometimes in games.''
The rules committee needs to look at that play. Cut blocking by the personal protectors seems like cut blocking in the trenches to me.
I really don't know the answer to this, so someone help me out. Could a running back do that to a defensive end in the backfield when protecting the quarterback?
