Night Noise
I mentioned this on twitter but want to clarify it here. USC says it has a 31-game night game winning streak at the Coliseum. A night game is a game that begins at 5 p.m. or later. The Stanford game in 2007 started at 4 p.m. The Oregon game last year was on the road. Readers mentioned both of those contests as streak enders.
Hopefully that clears up the confusion.
So, this night game winning streak continued when USC embarrassed UCLA at the end of the game last year?

Time Out!!!! I know I'm supposed to be preparing for Stanford, but really at this point what can we do? Harbaugh is going to eat my lunch... anyways, things are going to be different this year, trust me. No really, I'm totally serious, this is the year we're going to build momentum and compete with those guys across town. If we're not completely successful I'm going to have to remind people that rebuilding a program takes a long, long time and the fact that Carroll, Stoops, Tressel and Saban all had national championships by their third year is a total fluke. Not all progress is measured by wins and losses. And hey, we've got the best offensive coordinator in the nation. Next year, baby! Next year!
