Quote Of The Day

| | Comments (5) |

Former Arizona Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin was asked by Baltimore radio station The Fan if he was surprised Matt Leinart has not won the starting job in Arizona.
``Honestly no. That's just because I've been there and witnessed the relationship between both Matt and Coach (Ken) Whisenhunt. So I'm actually not surprised.''

Leinart can't complete a pass from the doghouse.

Looks like Leinart was right, Whisenhunt is basing the decision on personal, off the field reasons that don't have to do with football.

Lets look at the preason stats for Leinart and Anderson...

Leinart: 19/23 (82.6%) 161 yards (8.4 yds/completion) 1 TD 0 INT

Anderson: 31/53 (58.5%) 287 yards (9.2 yds/completion) 2 TD 2 INT

So Anderson has attempted 30 more passes than Leinart and only has 1 more TD. Also, the criticism of Leinart is that he isn't making the "big play," but Anderson is only averaging .7 yards more per completion, while completing a far lower % if his passes.

Let's see if the Cardinal organization has any integrity and trade Leinart. If Whisenhunt wants Anderson that's up to him. But at least give Leinart the opportunity to go elsewhere.
