Rally Time
If you are in Hawaii, there is a rally tonight at 6 at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Then again, if you are in Hawaii, is attending a rally what you want to do tonight?

About Inside USC
Scott Wolf has covered USC for the Daily News since 1996. A USC
graduate, he covered his first Trojan game in 1984 for
the Daily Trojan. Scott is known as the "scourge of the Internet
message boards," according to radio host Petros Papadakis. Despite this
moniker, there's no truth to the rumor he takes pleasure in
antagonizing the "Internet geeks."

Bill Plaschke's column this morning began with:
"The practice field looks half empty. The sidelines are nearly bare. A USC football team has never seemed more alone. 'It doesn't feel like the old days, that's for sure,' assistant coach Kennedy Pola says. 'It's just us out here, trying to get tougher, trying to get better.'"
Anyone who has seen "Rocky III" and its montage of Mr. T (aka Clubber Lang) furiously pumping iron and doing push-ups by himself in a dimly lit gym, intercut with scenes of Rocky goofing around for the media and not trying too hard, will immediately recognize the Plaschke excerpt above as a sign that USC is going to destroy everyone this year with Mr. T-like ferocity.
Or "feroci-T" if you prefer.
Plaschke usually annoys me, but I thought his article this morning was pretty good.
To Cafe 84 Pizza:
ROFLMAO!
"Anyone who has seen "Rocky III" . . ., will immediately recognize the Plaschke excerpt above as a sign that USC is going to destroy everyone this year with Mr. T-like ferocity."
Don't get too cocky when you vanquish the Rainbow Warriors tomorrow. The meltdown will come later. If you get to 9-4 again this year, you should be very very thankful. 7-5 is probably wheer you will end up.
wolf seems so negative on this blog, while usually not negative in the stories that appear in the print edition.
@Cafe 84 Pizza--very nice rocky III tie-in. just more food for my hope and belief that usc will be crowned ap national champs this year.
this could be our year
"7-5 is probably wheer you will end up."
Nice Job UB: a math error and a spelling error in the same sentence. USC plays 13 games this season.
Well, I simply forgot about your extra junket to Hawaii as the 13th game for SUC. Sorry, I don't have your schedule memorized. As for the spelling error -- really? That is the best you have got to say? It is always amusing when the SUC faithful have nothing of substance to say, so they resport to being typo n@z!s
The worst is when the SUC faithful resort to being ACTUAL nazis. Look out, ZBT house!
Hey UB. 8-5 or 7-6 will still be better than 4-8
usc is so much better than last year, and schedule easier and masoli/gerhart gone. 12 wins easy and the dynasty will continue for 30 years as lane makes a home and lays off the rum and cokes
UB: We all make typographical errors, including me. I wouldn't only point that out. I was just being a snarky (you say petty) with the Math/English combo in one sentence. If you were a Trojan, I wouldn't bother to point it out. Because you are a bRuin, and bRuins claim better academics, I pointed out the irony. That's all.
As for forgetting the 13th game, I just figured you bRuin trolls already knew that given the amount of time you all spend on this USC blog.
Good luck against Kansas St. You'll need it with your thin offensive line, fragile QB, and borrowed offense. Your defense has some special players, but a few holes, too. The special teams are your biggest strength. Your hopes and dreams this season depend on the defense causing turnovers and scoring points. Maybe Is that substantive enough for you?
Damn. Omit the Maybe. I proved my own point. Typos happen.
The only numbers UB needs to worry about are 38DD, his bra size.
