it appears that UNC's violations are clearly worse than usc's alleged violations (lack of institutional control). in addition to usc's appeal chances being greatly improved, maybe we can persuade the good UNC o-line commit from Indy to reconsider and come out to where the best is. USC ap title in 2011 is likely.

Can't say I miss Bates. Either Carroll is a better judge of coaching potential than I am, or he'll be looking for a new OC to save his job within the next two years.
@sonicfart, USC was more embarrassing to the Pac-10 by allowing 600 yards total offense and 36 points to a JC team...it's not shame losing to a team with a better defense than USC's featuring one of the best RBs in the nation.
