Deja Vu
Very similar to 2001 when USC lost to Oregon and Washington at the end of the game. But will Lane Kiffin be able to win his final four regular season games like Pete Carroll did that season? Wins over Notre Dame and UCLA would soothe the growing discontent.

We have a shot against UCLA because their offense might be worse than our defense.
SC has no shot against any team with a good quarterback, prolific defense. Will lose to Oregon and Arizona. You can bank on that. Will lose at least two of the four against ASU, OSU, UCLA, CAL because the offense might not be firing on all cylinders (opposing defensive schemes, demoralization due to having to play along side the 117 worst pass defense in the nation), and the defense, no only fires on no cylinders, it lacks spark plugs.
That means you can bank SC will lose to Notre Dame unless Crist gets hurt.
6-7.
I thought that you losers were going to win the Pac-10 and go undefeated! Lose On!
Billy Boy, we were but when we saw how much fun you guys were having getting your @$$kicked every time you turned around, we decieded to see what it was like. And I can tell you this, it's a lot more fun when you've got 2 NC rings on your hand. 8 Cluup.
Not happy or satisfied with the performance of the d, but I have to point out that this is a team that is improving week by week. The penalties are significantly reduced. No interceptions for Barkley. The d could not get a frikkin stop but we did get turnovers which were key to getting this close to beating a team that no one, no one predicted us getting even close to beating. As far as I can see we won the battle of the lines. Matt had all day to throw, and the Stanford ground game was limited. Every big play was through the air. Remember how our guys got pushed around by the physical Stanford lines last year? We also have to remember that before the game Luck was being touted as a lock for number 1 drafted quarterback if not overall after the season. Sunday morning the media was saying "yeah but have you seen that Matt Barkley?" That is something. I think we got THAT close to beating a very good team. You have to take what you can from these kinds of situations in a rebuilding, transitional year. Almost beating a great team is better than almost beating a bad team. That's not to say the d is good now, or even that our team is where they ought to be at this point in the season. I'm just pointing out that there is progress that we can see on the field.
