Galippo Move

| | Comments (6) |

Linebacker Chris Galippo said he would start at weakside linebacker. Lane Kiffin said it depends on whether Malcolm Smith and Shane Horton are healthy. Galippo said he thinks he is comfortable enough to play the spot even though he's usually played middle linebacker or practiced at strongside linebacker.

well i have to hand it to Kiff, he is not too stubborn to try new things!!! Cheatey was always too proud to admit ever making a mistake and would never move players around like this!!

yet another reason Kiff is the new darling of the Secret Cadre!! you go, Kiff!!

Kiff, since you are thinking outside the box, why not move Scroggins to starting QB and move the cherubic Barks to the D-line where his ample heft becomes an asset!!! new Defensive coordinator?? you know the name...

AUUUUUUUUU-WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Boy, with all the debt/depth issues at linebacker....I bet Kiffy could really use someone like Eduardo "The Chinese Viking" Hernandez right about now.

Kiffin is definitely stubborn keeping Kennard in the middle when he should be outside with Galippo playing inside.

Trojsteve5.........agreed. I'd move Kennard to the outside and put Galippo in the middle.

If this is true what Galippo is saying, it confirms what I have been thinking of this coaching staff's inability/unwillingness to correct the defense (I'm surprised Orgeron is supporting this). Galippo cannot run like Morgan or Kennard and he gets gased easier. Why are they thinking of putting a slower LB in an area that needs speed? Galippo should to be put in the middle, and told to stay there protecting it from a run or scramble up the middle so the D-line can concentrate on rushing the middle. Scrap this tampa 2 stuff as it isn't working anyway as this year's team do not have the ability to operate it. Can anything be more obvious?
