Lane Kiffin said Sunday it is difficult to not think about USC's two last-second losses, ``50 times a day.''

It'll eventually help this team stay strong and focused. Fight on Trojans!
Theres nothing we can change about the past. Whats important is that this team has improved drastically, especially on offense. its only gonna get better, and you have to like your chances with Monte running the defense with 2 weeks to prepare for Oregon. you know, with already 20 games college coaching monte has, im sure hes ready for this offense. expect to see some schemes he gave Florida.
Can't wait for this game, Trojans will be pumped.
V Fight On! V
lests pack the Coliseum out Oct 30th night!
Oh please, that 4-0 record the had prior those two defeats was as impressive as UCLA's 3-0 start in 2008 - not very impressive at all. Had USC scheduled real teams they might be 1-6 today...don't get excited.
Hawr-hawr!!!!
so many trOJie posts ridiculing Coach Ted saying Cal won the 2nd half, and here Kiff is still using his seconds from perfection line!!
oh you go Kiff!! you are still the Cadre's fav!!!
@Bruin Rob (Moron): when are you going to get a clue? Stop talking trash.. YOUR TEAM SUCKS.
Enjoy Autzen Stadium Thursday night, loser.
Scoreboard. USC: 5-2, ucla: 3-3, about to be 3-4.
The funniest part is, when ucla has lost, they've been humiliated. Both SC losses were won with a field goal as the clock expired.
Stanford AND Cal defenses humiliated your pathetic squirt gun offense. And that Cal team that destroyed your bRUINs just got dismantled by the Trojans. Taste it. And..
FIGHT ON!
As I said in an earlier post, it is inaccurate to reflect how a last-second loss means that the losing team should have won the game.
In both losses, two excellent quarterbacks had the ball in their hands in the last minute or two. They used the clock judiciously and set their teams up for field goals with plenty of time remaining, only to milk the clock down to the last play of the game
That does quantify to a "last second" loss in my book.
A last second loss is a hail mary, or an interception or fumble recovery run in for a td on the last play.
Socially Challenged or Autistic....which one is it? I'm going to FEEL SOOOOOOOOOOO Bad if you confess to being a retard!
Fiet on Trogan
@moron, yes if the game was played for 59:56 your trOJies would be 7-0 - I got news for you! the game is played for 60:00 and your team choked!! are now claiming moral victories you loser? if FUsCK had scheduled real teams your condoms would be 1-6. You may not taste another victory again, but you can taste this!! (_!_)
Thai Mexican's team is 2 - 3 and on their way to 2 - 4. Maybe that equals success in a country created by Thai's and Mexican's. Guess that says a lot about many things...
I agree with Coach Kiffin, it should bother him. It was his game calling-time management that put the responsibility on the place-kicker to lose both games...
ucla fans like to talk about "strength of schedule" and quality of opponents, so I ran some numbers on the common opponents for the Trojans and the bruins:
SC and ucla have played three common opponents - Cal, Stanford, and Washington State. The combined score of USC's three games is (USC) 133 - (opponents) 37. The combined score of ucla's three games is (ucla) 49 - (opponents) 98.
So USC is outscoring common opponents by 96 points while u¢la is getting outscored by the exact same opponents by 49 points. Where is the strength of schedule argument now?
By the way, 2/3's of SC's games have been on the road while 2/3's of ucla's games have been at home.
Taste that Rob/Thaimex/Count/etc.
@sureshot, sure...whatever makes you happy...ahhhh UCLA destroyed Texas whom beat #5 Nebraska who KILLED Washington who beat USC.
UCLA is 2-2 vs. ranked opponents whilce USC is 0-1
You act like you won the national title game by beating Cal, only because Cal killed UCLA...yet you've said all along that UCLA sucks, so if UCLA sucks and your claim to greatness is because Cal bet UCLA and USC beat Cal - doesn't that make you a hypocrite? or doesn't that make UCLA a great team? which one of the two is it?
After UCLA beats Oregon this Thursday at Oregon, then Oregon comes to South Central and humiliates the trOJies at home, what excuses will you have then?
Thai Mex...what do you know about Autism? What's with the insults, picking on people with special needs who may not have the chance to defend themselves. Hard to respect that. Do you have any kids? How would you feel if people who didn't know them were taking cheap shots at their disability? Sad.
SCfamily
a loss is a loss is a loss, surshot. You can look at it this way too - UCLA beat UT, UT beat Nebraska, Nebraska beat UW and UW beat SC. Thus, UCLA > Trogans. Weee, this is fun. Cheat on!
There's BruinSlob showing the little picture of his face again. It still looks just like a butt. Have not heard back from him as to whether he keeps TP at the dinner table with which to wipe his face
Since --like his namesake football team-- he seems to lack mental ammunition, maybe we'll hear the usual "taste it."
Rob and Sped, I don't think the two of you understand my comparison, because the example you guys offered up is significantly different.
I'm talking about teams they've BOTH played - as in common opponents. I'm not playing the Team A beat Team B who beat Team C, therefore Team A would beat Team C. There's no transitive property in my scenario. I'm talking about teams who've all played each other... on the field... not in a philosophy classroom.
USC has outscored those common opponents 133-67 (little math error in my original post) while ucla is getting outscored by 96-49.
And I'm not claiming greatness for SC. Oh, no - not by a long shot. We're used to much more than this over at Heritage Hall. My point is simply that ucla is borderline dreadful and that Neuheisal has actually made this team worse (despite claims that it's still all Carl Dorrel's fault).
By bragging about a home win versus a conference USA also-ran who's star quarterback entered the game with a concussion just goes to show where your expectations are. And that my friend, says a lot about the ucla football program.
@sureshot, okay point taken...however there are a lot of variables when comparing head-to-head match ups, injuries, etc. I can't argue your point about RN's performance so far, as a loyal UCLA fan I still don't know how good or how bad my team really is. I have seen 4 different teams this year: 1. a team that exchanged punch-for-punch against KSU and just came short. 2. a team that plays down to it's opponnent's level vs. WSU 3. a world beater vs. Houston and Texas and 4. a disgusting door mat vs. Stanford and Cal. is it all coaching? hell yeah it's coaching! is RN the problem? maybe, maybe not...personally I think he gives too much power to Norm Chow, Chow hasn't been utilizing the great athletes UCLA has, he's stubborn and set in his ways. Brehaut will get his chance to show what he can do vs. Oregon and everyone will realize that Brehatut should have been our QB from day one.
