``I was pleased by the way the team fought tonight. The papers were saying this week that the USC dynasty was over. So to come up here and as 10-point underdogs and put on this type of showing.''

To come up here and lose a close game proves that the dynasty is not over? It's friggin' Stanford and we are USC. We should never be 10 point underdogs to these guys and never, ever be pleased that we played scrappy and stayed in the game. Kiff, you're not in Oakland anymore.

Can't argue with that. I think coaching is letting us down.

No kidding, Norcaltroy! We're not UCLA and should be grateful for close losses. WE ARE SC! Is Monte Kiffin really that good? He hasn't showed me a damn thing. It was great to see Galippo in there although he did get the questionable penalty on their last drive. Kennard is ALWAYS out of position. USC's 2 deep 4 under cover is porous. This is not the NFL. Can I see a blitz corner for once? Or, a safety blitz? Barkley was a stud tonight and Woods was phenomenal (except for the last drive dropped TD pass.) Start winning games, Lane.

Fire this bum already. The Kiffins are a joke. The whole nation is laughing at these dummies.

Troganfan bozo,
Maybe the "gutty little" reference makes you UCLA fans feel good, but please do not apply it to the Trojans. Even in defeat, we're better than that.

I recall reading how right after Robinson had taken over from L. Smith, the team was congratulating themselves over a narrow loss at Penn State (I had the good fortune of attending that game). Anyway, the author reported that Robinson ripped the team for that attitude, explaining that that was not acceptable at SC. Robinson always felt that SC should not be content unless it was abttling for a spot in the top 5.

I think Robinson's attitude is shared by many SC fans. Top 5 or bust! Fight On!

Kiffin sounds like he's making excuses. "..Pleased by the way the team fought tonight." Gimme a break, LK. The defense was pathetic.

We're a long way from being back in Top 5 form.
